Signatures

How do I create a Signature for the Wiki?

First, follow the link to your profile (at the top of the page). This should bring you to something like "http://www.emuscene.com/wiki/index.php/User:IUG" (but of course with your own username at the end). The trick is to then add "/sig" at the end of that url, and hit enter. This should bring you to a blank page. From here, edit the page to whatever you want your signature to look like. How do I include images?

First, click the link on the left labeled "Upload file". This will let you upload images and important files to the Wiki. Then, find an image you wish to use for the your signature. The current high/width suggested limits are 20 pixels by 20 pixels, but good taste is always a factor. Once you upload the image, it will tell you the filename it uploaded the image as. Then you use a bit of wiki coding to display the image. The code to make an image appear is "[[Image:Example.jpg]]". Using that code will make an image that you uploaded appear.

How do I make it appear on (appropriate) pages?

Once you have made your signature, insert "{{User:IUG/sig}}" anywhere you want your signature to appear (with your own username replacing "IUG" of course). That's it. Here is an example of what happens when you insert the example on the page. IUGContrib.
