John Stiles

John Stiles is credited with porting some of the most popular early emulators on the Macintosh and also creating CandyCrisis, an action puzzle game. Stiles ported iNes, Virtual Gameboy, ColEm, fMSX, and MasterGear to the Macintosh. iNes was one of the first emulators to be used by many Macintosh users as it had excellent compatibility and performance on such early PowerPC hardware. iNes is no longer being updated for the Macintosh, the last version was 1.2 while the Windows version is currently at 3.0.
CandyCrisis was originally a shareware game but has since been open-sourced. The game can be downloaded at http://www.candycrisis.com/ and the source is available at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=151913
John is currently working at Blizzard Entertainment Inc. and is credited with the Macintosh Programming of World of Warcraft (2004), Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002),Diablo II: Lord of Destruction (2001), Diablo II (2000), and Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition (1999).
